the violinist

Another illustration of a musician in colored pencil:
Itzhak Perlman, colored pencil, 2009

Itzhak Perlman, colored pencil, 2009

Another piece from my promotional series on white backgrounds. A little less elongated than Mistlav Rostropovich (see below), but I didn’t want to lose Perlman’s thickness. This illustration is obviously of a younger Perlman.

Let me know what you think!

  1. Great work! Love the width of the violin, don’t ask me why…inspiring as much as the violinist himself. I play…though not so much lately.

ps: Love your work. Just opened my own illustration site and have you on my blogroll. Its call When it Rains Illustration. Would love to keep in touch.

  2. Lol lots of coincidences today, I was listening to his performance in Bruch’s violin concerto just this morning.

Anyway, I’m new to the Children’s illustrators blog ring, I was just passing by and saying hello to a fellow member.
    Nice artwork btw:)
